When Justin first met Joey.

The words have been repeated too many times. Not as many as "When Justin was on the Mickey Mouse Club" or "When Justin made a complete and utter fool of himself", the latter a particular favourite of Chris's these days, but still often enough that Justin has started to doubt how real they are.

When you repeat something enough times, you start to forget what it was really like, and you lose a piece of yourself.

"Nah," Joey says when he tries to explain. "Nothing's that simple."
